Eric, we just purchased about 1.2 TB of EMC dasd in their Symmetrix unit. We
attached 160G to an as400 640 and the rest to hp3000s. No problems. works
like a charm and in fact, on the hp3000, dasd perfromance has improved. we
have not taken any performance measurements on the as400 yet. These new emc
symmetrix units are very well respected in the industry. our entire
connection and configuration process was very smooth.
Ash.
