Yes it is possible. When you configure your printer session, be sure to check 
the box for host transform.

deskjet printer attached to a PC?  We have CA/400 V3.2  and OS/400
V4R3.  All PCs are communicating to the 400 via TCP/IP over Ethernet.
These files contain lines, boxes, special fonts and page segments.
