Oops, I just realized..... the utility I was actually referring to
was DSPUSRSCN as printed in MC magazine. I was looking at the
magazine cover and saw STRCPYSCN..... I suppose STRCPYSCN would
work fine for capturing screens for documentation. Glad to know
that even my goof-ups are helpful! :^)

Tks Eric,
It works 100% I found this command native in os/400, they call it TELEMIROIR
in french, and it looks like you can monitor one screnn on an other screen or
outfile.
This works even if the screen I want to monitor is working under SSP (S36
virtual machine).

     Philippe,

I once used a utility from Midrange Computing called STRCPYSCN
(March 1996) that was easily modified and allowed me to capture
EVERY screen the user passed through. I modified the program to
save each screen to a file, then I could edit the file down to what
I needed for documentation. It was really quite effective.

I think you can get the source code from their website, but you
will probably need a copy of the article to set everything up
     correctly.

Hi , all
I want to collect in a text file the Hard copy of screens (documentation
porpose).
I thought I had found a solution with print screen, and printer
configuration : Print to disk in ADD mode,.. but the problem for me is to
define a type of printer, generating only text without control caracters
except CR or LF.
The second solution which work , but is heavy in manipulation is :
Edit/Select ALL Edit /Copy .. go to MS Word Window Paste in courrier new
8 and back to CA window.
Is it a printer definition who works for doing it?? (copy to disk file)
Is it a tool, to copy with a single click on an icone, the hard copy to a
Word Application and back (Macro)
is it ??

Tks for help
