Not true.  We are running an application I've written which uses
ObjectConnect to send a number of libraries from our primary AS/400 to
our backup machine every day.  When we upgraded both of them from V3R7
to V4R2, we upgraded the backup machine first, then upgraded the
primary machine a week later.  During that time, the application was
sending across a lot of libraries from V3R7 to V4R2 using SAVRSTLIB
with no problem.
