This is a topic that has been a great concern to me. One of the things that
has made COMMON great in our memories aside from the great sessions, is the
neat things you learn from the countless chats with people. I think that
CUDS has not been exploited to the extent that it should.

The majority of people that come to COMMON are first timers. These people
don't know anyone. CUDS is the best method for the majority(first timers)
to meet people. They have heard of the BIG names speaking at the
conference and a lot of the time have particular problems that they are
sent to COMMON to get answers to, hopefully from some of these BIG names.

Unfortunatly the alot BIG name speakers by in large do not come to CUDS.
I think all speakers should be asked to attend CUDS at least a couple of
nights at COMMON. The attendee's are paying bucks to hear these people
and it would be nice if they were a little more accessible. CUDS is the
best vehicle to do that.

Get more speakers to attend, More first timers will enjoy their experience.
Encourage more DISCUSSIONS at CUDS.

John Carr (a big CUDS supporter and attendee)
