 <<SQL Server: 99.9 percent uptime guaranteed !?>>

Gang --

Recently, Data General Corporation announced that if you run their
hardware
with NT Server and SQL Server, they will guarantee a 99.9 percent
uptime.

Do they know something we don't know?

What do they mean by "guarantee" anyway?

I found it interesting. Consider this: WHAT IF (a BIG "what if", but
"what if"
nonetheless) ... WHAT IF a combination of NT Server and a relatively
inexpensive server DID -- in fact -- give the same uptime as an
AS/400? What
would THEN be the argument IN FAVOR of the AS/400??

Peace,
