Gang -- Recently, Data General Corporation announced that if you run their hardware with NT Server and SQL Server, they will guarantee a 99.9 percent uptime. Do they know something we don't know? What do they mean by "guarantee" anyway? I found it interesting. Consider this: WHAT IF (a BIG "what if", but "what if" nonetheless) ... WHAT IF a combination of NT Server and a relatively inexpensive server DID -- in fact -- give the same uptime as an AS/400? What would THEN be the argument IN FAVOR of the AS/400??
