Bruce may be able to be more specific, but in the simplest of terms, some
APIs uni-case the names passed, others assume that you mean what you're
asking for <grin>.  It may be that it's related to IFS etc. but I have a
feeling from way back in my compiler writing days that we found that some
of the internal APIs made the conversion for you and others didn't and that
was just the way it was.



The use of CONST etc. on the Proto will have no effect since it has no way
of declaring that the case of the text is to be changed.  I would suggest
that you add an extra procedure ASUPPER (or prototype the C function) and
call the  function like so:



  CALLP      AnyOldProc( P1 : AsUpper(P2) : ..... : Pn )
