Gary,
Check out the web page below for some TCP/IP pointers. Hopefully
something there will help you out.

Subject: CODE/400 and compiling

Hello CODE/400 users/sufferers :-). Has anyone encountered problems when
compiling programs from CODE such as not having the compile ever finish?
Seems like this happens to me every other time I try to compile. For
example I submitted one with CRTRPGPGM before I left for lunch and got back
and it was still sitting there. I killed it then submitted it again and it
finished in about 3-4 minutes. Is this a problem with TCP/IP? I notice
when I kill it I get some kind of Windows message that says something about
not getting feedback via TCP/IP or something or other. If anyone has any
thoughts don't hesitate.
Thanks,

Gary Lehman
