  • Subject: Trouble Using AFP Printer Driver - Partial Resolution
  • From: "Robert Meade" <robert_meade@xxxxxxx>

Thanks to all of you (especially Buck Calabro and Joseph Wechsler) concerning my
problem trying the Windows AFP driver. I had the print driver set to produce a
document, not an overlay. With that one change, I am getting much closer to
what I want...
However, it leads me to the next question - how do you "install a font" on the
AS/400? The Windows AFP print driver automatically sets the most popular
business fonts to use certain AFP character sets. The documentation with the
driver only says these fonts are not usually installed on the AS/400 (but they
are on other IBM platforms). Can anyone tell me how to install these fonts, or
which manual (or set of commands) gives font definitions and installation
instructions?

Thanks in advance!
