  • Subject: Q: EMailing via SMTP without Directory entries

We have a database of Internet formatted addresses (name@domain) we recently
ported to the AS/400. Is there an easy way to use these addresses to eMail
spool files (or the spool file data) to these addresses without having to create
a directory entry for each person? We really don't want to be creating and
maintaining hundreds or thousands of directory entries. We are on V3R7 (ready
to upgrade to V4R2 in the next couple weeks), and we use TCP/IP connectivity on
our machine.

Thanks for any help or direction you can provide.
