Booth,
Use the file to define an external data structure, then use the offset provided
from the trigger to move the data to the Data Structure, perform update, and 
move
the DS back to the After area, and you're done. And NO hard coded numbers.
BTW - make sure you use short cryptic data names, so it looks complicated! <vbg>
