Another nice "feature" would be to automate refresh (F5). Perhaps a field
that optionally allows you to specify a time increment - for instance,
refresh every 5 minutes - when viewing a specific outq.

        <snip>
        John,
Probably the biggest improvement would be made by allowing
"Options" to be selected prior to the displaying of a function.

When I am checking on printers and wish to check on a user's
job,
I have to click on "Jobs",
wait until the information about my jobs has been retrieved,
        click on "Options",
        select "Include",
click on the "User" list button,
change the selection from "Current" to "User:" and type in the
User's ID,
        click "OK",
change any criteria about the Job(s),
        click "OK",
wait for the information about the User's Job(s) to be
retrieved.

        To make this usable,
I should be able to Right Click on "Jobs",
in addition to the "Explore", (greyed out) "Properties" and
"Help" choices,
I would like to see the "Options": "Sort", "Include" and
"Columns".
By selecting "Include" the Include panel would open,
at this screen I should be able to enter the User's ID,
click on "OK", and have the information about the User's Job(s)
        retrieved and displayed.

Making me retrieve all the currently selected information before
I can change
the selection, and then making me drill down through screens to
make changes
to the selection criteria further slows an already slow
interface.

Another area to be improved is wild carding.
Using "Green Sceens" if I wish to check on a group of printers ,
I can often
use a wild card like "WRKOUTQ HP*", ON doesn't let me do that.
Similarly if I need to check on a User ID I'm not sure about the
spelling of
but I know it starts with "CO", I can try "WRKUSRPRF CO*" and
have
a nice set to look over. Work with profiles using ON and you get
ALL users.
No filters, no selection criteria, just every profile on the
system.

These are what I would consider the Big Points. If these were
addressed,
we may see value in using ON. As it is, it is much too slow and
inflexible.
