If you have the time (maybe about 30-60 minutes) , and a current SAVSYS
tape, you can just put the tape in the device and PWRDWNSYS *IMMED
RESTART(*SYS) IPLSRC(D).  
After it completes the first part of the IPL from tape you can just
select the '1 - IPL the system' option and bring the machine back up.
