The chgobjown command only works one object at a time. However.... (there is always an however on the 400) You have three choices: 1) Enter a chgobjown command for each object (ugly) 2) If you can group the objects using dspobjd (all objects in a lib, all files named UP*, all programs in a lib, etc) you can do a dspobjd to an outfile and then write a 10 line CL program to rcvf the outfile and chgobjown obj(&odlbnm/&odobnm) objtyp(&odobtp) newowner(george) for each record. odlbnm and odobnm are the library and object name, odobtp is the object type from the dspobjd outfile. 3) Hire a temp :-) -Walden PS. If you happen to have Synon on your system there is a Synon/1 utility that does exactly what step 2 does (ychgobjown). I'd guess that QUSRTOOL has something similar (Al?), as may other software products. -----Original Message----- From: mcsnet!midrange.com!midrange-l-owner@Mcs.Net [mailto:mcsnet!midrange.com!midrange-l-owner@Mcs.Net]On Behalf Of David Murphy Sent: Wednesday, March 04, 1998 6:01 PM To: 'midrange-l@midrange.com' Subject: Changing Object owner Is there a way I can change the ownership of a group of objects from one user profile to another in one fell swoop. I was sure I had done that once but now I only seem to be able to do one at a time-very tedious with lots of objects.
