That said, IF the old PF and all of its old LFs live in the same library, CRTDUPOBJ will put the new physical and the new logicals in the new library, and the new logicals will point to the new physical you just created. If, however, the old logicals are NOT in the same library as the old physical, the new logicals will point to the same physical as the old logicals.
