I consider it a shell over DOS 7.0. We put up > with it "because." This has a lot to do with the future of the AS/400, maybe. After all, over the last couple of decades have produced a large number of MIS veterans with 10+ years of experience who think it is normal to have to reboot your computer on a regular basis. These are the guys who don't take the reliability factor into consideration when thinking of implementing corporate solutions. These are the same people who think it is normal for a company to announce a product and push back delivery each quarter for three years before delivering what seems to be a bug ridden beta. I'm not picking on these guys, I am just pointing out that the performance of the desktop industry has taught them a different computing standard than you and I are used to. The reason they can defend a company like Microsoft is that they really do not know the difference. That is also why they can recommend implementations on NT. > -Jeff Chris Rehm Mr.AS400@ibm.net How often can you afford to be unexpectedly out of business?
