Jack -
We've been using a product called ACO PAGER from DLL Systems, Inc. for
about 3 years and have had good luck with it. We use it to monitor our
nitely and weekend  jobs and backups.  Also since it supports alpha
pagers, we use the products API's during program testing and
implementation of major systems modfications to page us with information
and data results when certain program functions and events happen so we
can immediatley monitor the changes or identify problems. Using it this
way we find at times we are already working on problems before the users
even notify the help desk.   Installation an setup is simple and their
support is helpful and responsive.  If Budget is a concern... of 8-10
other vendors we looked at back then,  they were also the least
expensive.  I don't know if this is still the case though.
