I agree that modifying code to debug it is ridiculous, however the 
programmer at IBM that wrote STRISDB seems to disagree. To use ISDB on a 
job that job must be ACTIVE. Therefore, we have all come up with these odd 
ways to use ISDB on batch jobs.

There was an article on using ISBD with batch jobs in a recent News400 or 
Midrange Computing article -- some time in the past 6 months. The steps 
involved using routing data and routing programs to enable debugging w/o 
modifying the target programs.

Rediculous.  Who ever heard of modifying code to run debug on it?

Just submit the job on hold or put the job queue on hold.  Start the
debugger and then start the job.  The rest will be intuitive.
