Actually, the advertisements in the conference guide were done to offset 
the enormous cost of that publication. When you print 6000 copies or so, of 
a document that size, you're talking many tens of thousands of dollars. I'm 
the number one fan of no advertising, but I think the design of the TABs 
and the placement of the ads are very well done.
