Steve,

Since MAPICS does not have consistent commit control across the suite of
applications, how do you recover a "save-while-active" backup?

If you've solved this problem, my biggest headaches will be solved to!

We used to run the MAPICS backup, but it was taking too long. Now we run
our own that does an save-while-active. QINTER is down for about 2 minutes
while the SWA does its thing to get in sync. At the end we do a dsptap to
show what was backed up. We have a 3581 tape drive, it is awesome!!!

We do the MAPICS pre/post backup routines within the CL that does the SWA.

Dale you said "doesn't give me the same thing that I get when I manually
run the "Save disk backup to tape"."

What is different about it? Could you modify it to be the same?
