I've been watching the group for a while and wanted to make known a product
that Agility, the MAPICS affiliate for Northern Ohio, offers called Pick,
Pack & Ship for MAPICS or COM PPS for short. It allows the offline loading
of many of the functions of COM that are needed on the shop floor. PPS
processes transactions that can be generated from RF hand-held devices, 5250
emulation programs, third party shipping programs, non-MAPICS order
processing programs or any custom program that can write transactions to an
AS/400 file. It allows the generation of standard and stock picklists, pick
confirms, ship completes, bill of lading creation, packing list creation,
special charge updates and carrier information updates.

PPS edits the transaction and, if it finds errors, it leaves the transaction
to be updated, online afterwards. All of the transactions support user
exits before and after its processing.

If you would like to learn more about COM PPS, call or email me at
