We're glad to see that you like the new Offline Automated Shipping function
we added to the MAPICS COM application.  Let me see if I can answer your
questions about addtional functions.

1.  We have a list of additonal Offline functions that we have prioritized
to be added in the next release.  We are currently in the process of
finishing up another project before we can address that list.  We will
continue to keep our customers updated through the E:Info Information
Bursts that Support sends out.

2.  The requirements you have listed are on the list I mentioned above.
No, I do not wish to share the contents of that list at this time, but will
keep you posted through E:Info when we have decided on the next group of
functionality we will address.

We are listening to our customers and Offline Automated Shipping (which I
might add was delivered between releases) was a result of customers
requesting this function the most.   MAPICS is committed to delivering
business value to our customers and finding ways to deliver that value
faster.  This is an evolving process and as we find better ways to address
customer business process needs, customers and users will benefit from it.
Thanks for your comments on the value given on the just delivered Offline
Automated Shipping code.

   We have started testing the new COM Off-line automated shipping programs
(from MAPICS) and are finding them very useful for some batch shipping
functions we need to perform.

   I have two questions if someone on this list can offer some hints or
guidance:

1.  An earlier posting refers to functions that "will not be supported in
the first delivery".  Can anybody say when the "next delivery" is planned,
scheduled or hoped for?

2.  Is any support planned for containers (beyond the master container for
the entire shipment.)  We have a need to identify container IDs for some of
our shipments and don't see how we can do that with the current offline
programs.
