We apply the same rule to MAPICS PTF's that we use for OS/400 PTF's - if
it's not part of a "seasoned" package and we're not experiencing the
specific problem the PTF addresses, we don't touch it.  In fact, we rarely
apply cume packages between release upgrades, simply because it's expensive
for us to do in terms of prep (we have lots of mods) and our windows of
opportunity for installation are few and far between (24x7 operation -
holidays are just about the only opportunities we have, and I hate working
every holiday).
