Jay Felice was working on python bindings for tn5250 quite some time ago
(I'd say over 2 years) and got diverted to other projects and never
finished it.   I would assume that you're welcome to pick up his work and
finish it.

At any rate, I wouldn't refer to the python bindings as "scripting", since
you still had to call the low-level 5250 functions to accomplish anything.

I'm not familiar with TCL, so can't really offer any opinions on it as a
choice of language.   But, I'm very happy that you're interested in
