Hmm?  How so?  With french, I get funny little '{' in the middle of words,
and I can't remember enough french to figure out what characters they are
_supposed_ to be.  Character set problems?

The way around it for the time being is to issue a System Request (Ctrl+C),
then F3 out of the system request.

System Request is the only key that doesn't get queued for later while the
keyboard is locked - that's per spec.

Still working on this bug, tho.  I think the solution will solve another bug
as well.
