Well, I would suggest investigating why the error is occurring in the
first place.

Generally speaking, when an exception is thrown, the process that
encountered the exception is interrupted ... so *SOMETHING* is probably
not getting completed.

Although your JPG file probably appears to be valid ... something may
not be right and/or the whole process could be left in an unstable and
unreliable state.
