An UnsatisfiedLinkError is usually caused by a class being run against a
different version of a library from the version against which it was
compiled.  If you are familiar with traditional AS/400 programming, it's
a bit like a "record format level check".

This would explain why the other respondents don't see the error: they
have compiled and run your source against the same libraries.

That said, since the "libraries" in question in this case would be the
core java.util.* packages, I'm surprised that there would be this kind
of incompatibility.  If you compiled using Sun's JDK it could be an
incompatibility between that and IBM's, I suppose.

Anyway, you can check this theory by compiling the source and running it
in the same environment: in this case, on your iSeries, with JDK 1.4.1,
if that's what you have.
