Hi Tim,

if from a cmdline I ping the service name (that is "services.xmethods.net") I
get the message TCP3203 that returns the ipaddress 66.28.98.121.

Then I get five TCP3206 that say that no reply has been received.

Adele.

. . .
String SOAPUrl = args[0];
URL url = new URL(SOAPUrl);
URLConnection connection = url.openConnection(); HttpURLConnection
httpConn = (HttpURLConnection) connection; . . .

After 1 minute program timeouts. However if I put the same link in a
html page of our intranet I can easily reach the destination.

Am I missing something ?

Thanks.
Adele.
