Hi,

I am not a professional of the AS400.
But I think you can use getJobId() or getUser() of the Job class from
the AS/400 Toolbox for JAVA.

Bye.

WRKJOB tells you what your job number is for that job. I don't
understand
what you mean by "job number from AS400 object". But when executing a
clp
program, the command RTVJOBA (Retreive Job Attributes) returns many of
the
values as wrkjob. Any executing job can get it's job number. Within an
RPG
program, the program data structure (see RPG manual) will return the job
number. There are also api's that can be called to get this info.
