Thought I'd post this again with a more correct
subject. It seemed to be of interest to a group of people...


If you use the QSH CL command with the CMD parameter,
before running it, you can set the environment variable
"QIBM_QSH_CMD_OUTPUT"
to a value of "NONE", you can have the output thrown away.

Alternately, set the value to "FILE=pathname" to have the output stored in
an IFS file.
This also keeps the output session from being displayed.

Not sure if a command keyword is being added. There's lots of
NLS, command and user interface police that make those things expensive...
