Brad,

Same things can apply to RPG & CL.

If they are badly written, or java is badly written, portability
suffers.

RPG & CL can have hard-coded libraries, etc.  All this can affect
portibility.

easy, that manager is fired because of a stupid move.

But honestly, we've seen this.  We bought a company who had unix,
running
java.  they needed to upgrade hardware.  We bought them a killer
multi-proc
as400.  They tried to port and port and port for over a year.  Finally
ended
up using a software package developed in RPG.
