David,

I have now received this message over 100 times! Have you fallen asleep with
your finger on the send button? Did someone put their coffee cup on your
enter key?

Please can you or Mr Pluta sort it out. Much obliged.

Alistair

Subject: Toolkit Remote command & multi-threading?

Folks:

I've got a strange situation with a customer that's running a program that
uses Java Toolkit for AS400 (JT400).

Our program is running on a PC and is executing a CommandCall. The command
call works fine, but at the end our job does a RCLRSC.

The problem is: For some reason the CommandCall is executing in a job that
as the ALWMLTTHD option set to *YES and RCLRSC is not valid in a
multi-threaded environment. This causes the job to abort (and other bad
things that I won't go into).

The job description QZBSJOBD is set to ALWMLTTHD(*NO), and we're not sure
how that is being changed.

The version of JT400 is quite old ... V3R2M1.2, the customers system is at
V4R4.

We've tested the program on V4R5 without a problem.

Any ideas as to why the CommandCall would be run in a multi-threaded job?

Thanks!

david
