Hello Jon,

Simple answer:
        o Create a class to describe the data structure
        o Use VAJ Add option (right-click on the class and select Add>Field 
from the 
context menu
        o Define the fields and check the Access with getter and setter methods 
checkbox

Complex answer:
        o Write a VAJ extender tool (don't remember the proper term but the VAJ 
manuals 
mention it and I came across it trying to get the AS/400 Enterprise Toolkit to 
install 
under VAJ for OS/2**)
        o This tools would extract the definition from an external database 
file and 
generate the classes in VAJ
        o Not trivial but not really hard either -- added to my ToDo list (I 
really 
must prioritise that soon :)

** Which works for the most part except that some bozo decided to use windoze 
dlls for 
some of the function instead in writing it all in Java -- Bastard!
