I get a similar error in 5.1.0 (though this error is coded RC-2) whenever I 
enter a space on what was a blank (null) line before.  In other words I can hit 
the enter key twice after a line that does have a line of code in it.  Hit the 
up arrow to go to the blank line above, hit the space key, then leave that line 
so that the syntax parser kicks in.   The line then gets highlighted and the 
error code (RC-2) is displayed on the bottom.  This only happens in CL code and 
not RPG/RPGLE.
