Has anyone experienced problems using CODE/400 client software that comes
with the Websphere Development Toolkit for V5R1 on a Windows 2000 machine?
I consistently receive a Windows memory fault error whenever I try to
connect to the 400 from Code Editor, Code Designer, etc. I have gotten
CODE/400 to work before on a Window 98 SE machine, but I had to install
SP5 for WDT (from IBM's website) to get it to work without any errors.
However, on my W2K machine with Microsoft's SP3 applied, I cannot
successfully install SP5 because it always terminates prematurely (no
explanation given). A co-worker has Windows 2000 with SP2 applied and has
had no problems whatsoever installing SP5 for WDT, and he can always
connect to the 400 from CODE.

We have V5R1 on our AS/400 with all the relevant PTF's applied, so I don't
think the problem is there. I suspect this has something to do with the
new version of the Windows Installer 2.0 that comes with Microsoft's SP3
(previous versions of W2K has Installer 1.1), and IBM needs to post an
updated setup file for SP5 to work with Windows 2000 + SP3. Hopefully,
I'll get a hold of our IBM customer number and serial number so that I can
receive IBM support. In the meantime, any help would be grealy
appreciated!

Thanks,
