Ah...forget the iSeries cr*p!  You can do this entirely from your PC; it's
called an autostart server.  You don't have to do anything on the iSeries
except make sure it's plugged in and powered up.  CODE,
Windows|Communications|Properties; define your server there, and you should
be ready to rock.

I can STRCODE in the iSeries when I'm dialed in or on my LAN; when I'm on my
WAN (behind a network address translator, or NAT, box) STRCODE goes nowhere.
Others have gotten it to work; I can't.  But I'm an applications guy anyway.
