Hi Phil,

I think that you might find that it is not actually hung but rather just
real slow if you have a large number of fields in the db or whatever (or
you are on a remote link).

I didn't glean that the first time I read it but now found it.  Made my
day!

This will take some doing on my part.  The prompt often hangs on me.  What
I've been doing instead is adding the qgpl file and then changing it.
(Well, what I've really been doing is create new fields.)  But with this
encouragement I will try again.
