Subject: V5R1 Install Failures

About 3 out of every 4 installs of WDT V5R1 fail at the same place here,
and
I am pretty sure I have isolated the cause.

If the install determines that we need the IBM Java SDK (like on freshly
installed clients), we bomb right at the point where it goes to install
Studio. It never makes it to Debugger/NQ.

I have found 2 things:
1) If I go in and modify my install through Control Panel, it lists WSS as
not being installed---although it is there and functional. I let it 'add'
WS Studio, and everything is fine...including Debugger, NQ/Help.
2) If the machine does not need the SDK, the install works fine.

Is there a way to install the SDK from the WDT DVD before attempting the
full install? Or can it be downloaded from somewhere?

I have attached an install log that is nearly identical to every failed
install...

Thanks,
David
