Hi Chris,

Make sure you put correct TCP/IP name of your AS/400 into the
'Host' field of the 'Attach' dialog.

If you start the debugger from CODE/400 editor and have already started an
interactive CODE server,
debugger tries to guess (usually correctly) the name of your AS/400 host.

If you start debugger via the start | programs | .... we have
no hope of making an intelligent guess
as far as your AS/400 TCP/IP name goes. Hence we rely on you to supply
correct info in this case :-)

Hope this helps,

I tried to connect to my program via the start|programs|.........debugger,
and from the attach dialog I entered the program name and tried to get the
settings to select "update production". Well, it prompts me to sign on,
then
it says it can't find the host!!!! Auuuuuuggggghhhhh!!! I could have been
done with the #(@*&$&$#$& debugging if I did the ol' STRDBG, but
NOOOOOOOOOOO, I've gotta' try and be "high-tech"!!

I started the STRCODE as DEV1. When I start the debugger it says the host
is
DEV, which is what I created the server as. Does anyone have any clue as
to
what I might be doing wrong?

Signed,

Frustrated!! (aka Chris)
