Hi Greg,

That means that you don't have a JVM installed that the daemon recognizes.  Installing the IBM Java SDK from your first install CD will fix this problem.  I think that when you started the install it should have asked you to install it.

To install the IBM SDK go into directory ibmsdk on CD 1 and run install.exe.  It may have a big pause at one point during the install, it isn't hung just wait it out and all will be well.  If you still have the problem after (re)installing the IBM SDK let me know.

Kind regards,

Mike

Subject:        Communications Daemon error

Hello all,

I have WDT/400 V4R5M1 SP1 installed on Windows 2000 (SP1), and am
getting the following message box when the Communications Daemon
starts, and when I right click and select Properties:

EVF2040 RC = 133
Programming error.

This is a fresh install.  Other than this, everything (so far) seems to
be working.  Any ideas?

TIA,
Greg Thielen
