Mike,

No, it's not the same as Jon's problem - this was when selecting the help
menu item from within the CODE editor, or pressing F1 with the cursor on a
keyword.

I've had a note from James Littlejohn with some steps to check, and have
re-loaded from scratch with a shorter PATH statement following some postings
on the newsgroups.

I now have a working help system (although even after applying the service
pack, code is still complaining about an AS/400 PTF which it says is missing
and the AS/400 says is permanently applied. This went away the first time I
applied SP1, but it's less hassle than the lack of help so I'm going to stop
fiddling with it :-).

Thanks for your help and support with this!

Cheers
Robin

Hi Robin,

Is this a case of where you, for example, start CODE/Designer and click on
the help icon or select something from the help menu and a browser window
does not come up with help or displays an error message. Or is a case that
you can't find the old manuals in the documentation folder like before? If
it is the latter then apparently this is by design. That is, there is not a
direct link to the individual manuals in the documentation as there was
before. This is true of WDT400 even before the application of SP1. In the
new way of doing documentation its all presented in a web page. To get to
the start of things launch the entry at:

Start->Programs->IBM_Websphere_Development_Tools_for_AS400->Documentation->H
elp_Home_Page

From there you can navigate to the area in the documentation of your desire.

Now whether this is good, bad, or simply different from the previous
(adtswin) way of doing things is not for me to say -- but rather for y'all
to say.
