  • Subject: New Version Help !

Hi,

We installed the new version of ADTS/CS that is renamed the WebSphere
Development Tools for AS/400 (4.5.1). As directed, we first uninstalled the
previous version.

Today, I am trying to do things the same way as before, but I am not having
any luck.

On the previous version, I would start the code daemon on my PC then on an
AS/400 session I would do the STRCODE command. The session would do a cute
three note beep and then I would be connected for editing and prompting.

Today, if I try the same thing, I get a little PC popup window instead of
the beeps saying that the Server is already started. If I try the Shutdown
All Servers command, my screen just blinks. It seems that no matter what I
do, I can't get my session to connect to the Code Server.

What am I doing wrong !!! The books that came with the CD's are both for
Version 3.2.3 !

When I right click on the server daemon in the system tray, and the choose
properties, there are several screens that I am not sure what to do with.

This is very frustrating as I was really getting up to speed on writing with
Code. I enjoyed using the verify option. It is exptremely annoying to go
back to SEU.

I appreciate any help you can give me.

Thanks,

Cyndi
