I think Scott has got some hot tips here.

I usually don't bother with the split screen because I often working with so many source files that it is too much work to get them into split screen mode.  I just load them into the editor on demand into the single ring.   I tend to avoid using the mouse unless it really helps me.  My fingers are most productive on the keyboard.  So my scenario is usually

1) Alt-Right until I am in the member that is the source of my copy (I could use the combo box under the toolbar with the mouse, to select it directly, but I find that hitting Alt-Right repeatedly is quicker than taking my hands off of the keyboard and reaching for the mouse)
2) Mark the block using Alt-L
3) Alt-Right or Alt-Left to the target member
4) Alt-C to copy
5) Alt-U to unmark

Once you get this sequence in your fingers, you will be a lot faster than working with the mouse.
Other tips are that you can search all the member loaded in the ring using Ctrl-F.
Hit the Options button on the Find dialog and select All files.

This is a really cool feature.
Another cool feature is the ability to compare your source member with any other source member in the ring. (Actions->Compare)

Hope this helps.

John,

Try these key combinations:

Alt+Left Arrow   ==> These two will take you between open members
Alt+Right Arrow

Ctrl+Alt+Left Arrow  ==> These take you between open rings
Ctrl+Alt+Right Arrow  ==> I use them to switch between source
                         in split screen

Ctrl+Home  ==> Takes you to very beginning of source
Ctrl+End  ==> Takes you to very end of source

When I am copy source from one member to another I don't take my
fingers off of the keyboard.  Also Alt+U will unblock the text
where ever it is blocked. You don't have to go to the other member.
