Well, honestly, I really dont know and that happens to look bad for a begginer 
I guess. The record description layout calls for TRANSACTION-AMOUNT to be 
Packed Decimal with a size of 7,2. But when I look at the printer spacing 
chart, between positions 67 to 76, I get the following: $ZZ,ZZ$.99

> make sure that you have valid data in the item you are moving FROM.

Leif, as far as I can figure it out it, there is valid data (guessing here). 
Would it be possible for some type of data corruption? I am going to keep 
working on this problem and see what I can come up with.

Terry, well at this stage, the book explaining the RECORD contains doesnt talk 
about neutral platforms. I believe the book wants to us to develop the 
beginning skills we need first then we can find out later what we actually do 
need or not need?
