Yup! Feel free to write code that is easily readable. I am sure that TPTB have already established "acceptable conventions" but I have adopted my own (for my own reasons) I keep variables in upper case and capitalize the verbs and (if I use them) the noise words.

Interestingly I just learned about NOMONOPRC from the good folks on this list and it's sister list MIDRANGE-L, if you are going to call any of the system API's and are using SQL, you will need that option set. I placed it in the PROCESS statement since I use that for development options.

Subject: Upper/lower case in COBOL-source

Hello again.

On my way into the world of ILE, I have noticed that the default setting for 'Uppercase only' has changed from 'Y' to 'N' when I edit an ILE-program.  Does this mean that lower-case characters are fully accepted in the COBOL source-file?

(I have registered the discussion around 'NOMONOPRC')

Mvh.
