Judi,
Partial solution is to set the item master to force shipment from the correct
warehouse. Another would be to turn off the option which allows allocations
to search the entire facility. Lastly you could declare the offending
whse/location combo to be pickable but not allocatable.

Are you using post ship billing which requires an allocation at order entry?
Normal orders dont require the allocation until picking and that should
improve the odds of finding the correct inventory location. If this is a
frequent problem it may warrant a policy change.
