Are you using multi-facilities?

I seem to recall SYS800 also had a default warehouse.

I know you can have a warehouse location you want stuff allocated from,
then can over-ride the default at order entry maintenance time ... I know
because we have a query/400 to list those that got entered wrong that we
need to fix.

The default location help screen note (see below),as copied from item
master where default location is entered , seems to be saying that if
that field is filled in that items will be allocated from that location.
Orders are entered when on hand is zero, the allocation is set at that
time, and it does not allocate from the default location.  It allocates
from the generic P1 Warehouse and has to be transferred to P1 after
billing as it gets received into default location and goes negative in
P1 upon billing.  Any ideas as to why it does not allocate to default
location at time of order entry?
