RE: ECH HID and HSTAT fields

They are very confusing; I believe I got them somewhat straight.  Here goes
(I'll start w/ the most common combinations):
* HID "CH" and HSTAT "E" is where all the line items on this order are in
"Entry" status (no activity, i.e., picking, shipping, or invoicing).
* HID "CH" and HSTAT "F" all the line items on this order have gone through
"Pick Slip" processing (no other activity)
* HID "CZ" and HSTAT "C" all the line items on this order have gone through
"Pick Ship Confirm" processing and either this is NOT a WRO (Ord Type 9)
order or it is a WRO order that has been completely received (no other
activity).
* HID "CZ" and HSTAT "8" all the line items on this order have gone through
"Invoice" processing and either this is NOT a WRO order or it is a WRO order
that has been completely received (no other activity).
* HID "CH" and HSTAT "C" all the line items on this order have gone through
"Pick Ship Confirm" processing and this is a WRO order that has not been
received (no other activity).
* HID "CH" and HSTAT "8" all the line items on this order have gone through
"Invoice" processing and and this is a WRO order that has not been received
(no other activity).
* HID "CZ" and not HSTAT "8" or "C" all the line items on this order have
been deleted.
 When you have a combination of activities on an order, then that is where
the other HSTAT codes are used, e.g., when some lines are entered and have
no activity while other lines are completed (picked, shipped, & invoiced) on
the same order then HID is "CH" and HSTAT is "7"...  From ORD300-10 screen
(Customer Order Inquiry - on any existing order), place your cursor on the
"Order Status", press F4 then F1 for help.  Good luck.

We use the Intermec 2435 which is capable of 5250 and telnet emulation.
It
works with any 802.11b access point.  In our case, we use access
points
from SMC and Cisco with 128bit wep.  There are a variety of devices
which
incorporate 802.11b, rugged cases, and scanning from Intermec, Symbol,
and
many other companies.

Hi,

Does anybody know of a product that takes the place of the IBM 2482
bar
code
scanner for the AS/400?  We are looking for all the components: the
scanner,
the network card for the AS/400, the antenna, etc.

For those not familiar with this product.  This is a real time scanner
for
the AS/400 that emulates a 5250 terminal.  Thus any information that
you
enter is immediately, without any other process, available to all the
other
AS/400 users.  It is wireless, uses a battery, can accept a variety of
bar
code symbologies.  Since it emulates a 5250, you can use an RPG program
to
do the data collection.
