Jeff,

There are other solutions who have built data collection systems with an
interface for BPCS. Unfortunately, on 4.05CD which is our current release,
they are interfaced in batch thru CIMPATH. We use a product we have used for
years on the plant floor that does data collection on the PC and regularly
dumps it up to the NIN file which is a generic file for a group of
transactions that are later editted and updated into BPCS.

We are currently evaluating replacement systems and our current vendor, DCSI,
has a viable solution if we can "fix" BPCS to make it online (possibly
through a data queue) from its slow as a snail batch structure.

Hope this helps. If you are interested in more info, I am sure I could point
you to DCSI or another solution I am aware of.

Let me know,

Lynn
