Have you thought about using a 3rd party? Most allow you configure exactly
what you want. I went to the cloud a couple years ago when my Power 8
became "obsolete". I went through Kato Integrations (
https://katointegrations.com/) and have had zero issues. Well, one small
one with the VPN updates from Cisco that was quickly remedied.

If you want REALLY short term I think IBM still offers Virtual Loaner
systems for a couple days. Create a reservation (V7R6)

Hi Team,

I am trying to get in touch with the IBM i Cloud Sales team regarding
short-term rental options for an IBM i 7.6 Cloud Environment with the
following specifications:

Main Storage (Memory): 32 GB
System ASP (Primary Disk Pool): 8 TB
Target OS: IBM i 7.6
Region: Las Vegas
Processor Type: Power10 (preferred)

Attempts Made So Far:

1. I contacted the IBM i Cloud support line at 1-866-325-0045 and left
multiple voicemails, but haven’t received any response.
2. I opened a case under My Cases | IBM Support
<https://www.ibm.com/mysupport/s/my-cases> , and the response advised
me
to contact IBM Cloud Support.
3. I also opened a case through
cloud.ibm.com/unifiedsupport/supportcenter, but there has been no
update
for almost a week.

Could you please advise if there is a more effective way to reach the IBM i
Cloud Sales team directly? Any assistance or guidance on establishing
contact would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,
Suren
